A move can be simple – or complicated. Problems usually arise when an item of furniture is very large or very heavy.

Whether it is a billiard table, an upright piano, a grand piano or a safe, Confido has a solution. Depending on the job, we use a crane, an external furniture lift or special hydraulic transport trolleys, for example.

The Confido Group works with specialist companies for such cases worldwide. So no problem remains unsolved.

Planning to emigrate? When you move to another country, Confido takes care of all the formalities relating to your move.

This applies to moves abroad within Europe, for example to Spain, France or Italy, as well as to moves overseas, such as to America or Asia, for example China. Confido handles customs clearance completely – in line with the current regulations of the destination country.

We pack and transport all your belongings. At the destination, we bring them into your new home and reassemble them. So you can start life in your new home relaxed.

Moving safes and vaults

Office and project moves – and private moves too – often involve heavy security cabinets, steel cabinets, safes and vaults. For these, Confido works with capable partners worldwide.

We move safes to their new location with special transport equipment. Large safes, such as those used by jewellers and banks, are dismantled on site by specialists and reassembled at the new location.

If you wish, Confido will also dispose of old safes properly.

Piano transport

Upright piano, grand piano or piano transport

Upright pianos, grand pianos and other pianos are often high-quality and particularly valuable instruments. On top of that, they are heavy and large. A conventional furniture removal company quickly reaches its limits here.

Confido has a range of piano and grand piano covers as well as suitable carrying equipment. In difficult cases, we bring in piano makers and hauliers from our partner network. This ensures your upright piano, grand piano or piano is transported professionally.

After the move, our partners can also tune your instrument professionally and set it up again.

Waterbed service

Many private moves include a waterbed. To make sure it arrives undamaged, the Confido Group works with various waterbed manufacturers and specialist companies internationally. This is how it works:

  1. On moving day, a specialist drains the bed’s water bladder with a suitable pump.
  2. They fold the mattress correctly so that the foam inserts and chambers are not damaged.
  3. The bed is dismantled, packed and transported.
  4. In the new premises, it is reassembled, refilled and readjusted with the appropriate chemicals.

You can also book the waterbed service on its own – it is not tied to a move with the Confido Group. Just get in touch.

Temporary no-parking zones

A no-parking zone for a move (parking ban zone) is an officially signposted temporary no-parking zone directly in front of the residential or business address. It keeps a parking space free for the removal van on moving day.

You need one if the removal van cannot get within 10 metres of the door, for example:

  • in narrow city-centre streets
  • on busy roads
  • where cars are normally parked

Without a designated zone, you risk long carrying distances, extra moving time and, in the worst case, a blocked removal van.

Confido organises the entire no-parking zone for you:

  • application to the responsible road traffic authority
  • putting up the no-parking signs in good time
  • removing the signs after the move

The lead times required vary from one municipality to another. So plan the no-parking zone as early as possible before your moving date.
