Private move
Whether your new home is larger or smaller, a private move involves a lot of details, for example:
- applying for, getting approval for and setting up no-parking zones
- delivering packing materials such as boxes, tissue paper or wardrobe boxes
- arranging mail forwarding and notifying electricity and telecoms providers

Move abroad
A move abroad needs careful planning and leaves little room for error. If it goes beyond Europe’s borders, it is all the more important to rely on specialists.

- We pack and load your belongings carefully.
- Special packing materials protect them from moisture as they pass through different climate zones.
- Our experts handle all dealings with the authorities for export and import customs clearance.
Every country has its own rules. That is why we explain the regulations and restrictions in the destination country when we prepare your quote.
Business moves
When your company or employer relocates its headquarters, the business should be at a standstill for as short a time as possible. Every day of downtime costs money. This calls for careful planning in which all service providers are coordinated – for example IT specialists and the suppliers of printers and copiers.
Depending on the size of the company, it can make sense to move storage areas, archives or individual departments separately. We support you with questions like these while planning the move.
Before the move, we also give you a business move guide for your staff. It describes exactly how the move will work and what each person should bear in mind. This helps the move run as smoothly as possible.
Heavy-load move
In a heavy-load move, we transport items such as safes and heavy machinery. The large American “side-by-side” fridges, which are now quite common, also cause many people problems.
For this we have special equipment and partners. This allows us to move even very heavy loads to your new location.
Types of move in detail
A domestic move – for example from Krefeld or Düsseldorf to Munich or Hamburg – is less complex logistically than a move abroad. Even so, there is a lot to consider.
On request and by arrangement, we take care of all the work for you, for example:
- dismantling and reassembling furniture
- removing and installing kitchens
- connecting lamps
- hanging pictures and curtains
- setting up no-parking zones if required
This means you can look forward to your new home in a relaxed frame of mind.
The Confido Group has an international presence. Whether your move abroad is to a neighbouring European country or overseas, for example to America, we take care of all formalities such as shipping and customs clearance and observe the regulations in the destination country.
Quote and preparation
Your quote is free of charge. When we calculate it, we already check which mode of transport is the most cost-efficient: ship, rail, lorry or aircraft.
Some countries require a residence permit. We can help you here too with contacts and information. Depending on the destination country, these formalities need time, as dealings with the authorities and applications can take a long while. So please get in touch with us in good time.
Packing and transport
- We pack all items professionally, load them into the chosen means of transport and secure them.
- For overseas moves by ship, we use our overseas containers. They are transported sealed from A to B.
- For overseas moves, we make special overseas packaging. Your belongings pass through several climate zones on the way and could otherwise be damaged.
Arrival in the destination country
At the destination, we bring everything into your new home and unpack it. We take the packing materials away on the day of unloading and dispose of them.
Many moves abroad take place within a company. In that case, too, you can book the move abroad as a full-service move.
Moving abroad with the Confido Group
Whether you are emigrating or moving to Germany, we look after your move abroad – for example to Dallas in the USA, to Dubai, Mallorca, New York or Miami.
An overseas move involves a lot: import regulations, customs clearance and local customs and rules of conduct. Your Confido adviser will explain all of this before the move. We also know the local regulations and can help you with any questions.

An office move needs careful logistical planning. All work processes must be precisely coordinated so that there is no confusion and no mistakes.
We set up and fill file storage and filing cabinets at the new location exactly as before. Your staff quickly find their way around, and day-to-day business gets going again fast. Otherwise, unnecessary delays cost revenue and strain the working atmosphere.

A move takes a lot of energy for months: the old household has to be wound up and the new one organised. During this time, employees demonstrably do not perform at their usual level. As a result, the employer often faces costs many times higher than the actual moving costs.

Employee relocation with the Confido Group

With a full-service move, we take care of every service – from A to Z. If you like, you can go on holiday, and the move is complete when you return.
By then, for example, the following is done:
- All furniture is assembled and everything is put back as before.
- Pictures, lamps and other fittings are installed.
- Electricity, residents’ registration, car, post and telephone are re-registered.
- The old premises are renovated, cleaned and handed back to the owner.
- Your friends and acquaintances have been told your new address in writing.
- The fridge is stocked.

Full-service move with the Confido Group
With a full-service move, you move home without having to deal with anything yourself. We move you within Germany, for example from Düsseldorf, Krefeld or Moers to Munich, Hamburg, Berlin or Dresden. We can equally take you abroad, for example to Switzerland, the USA, China or Brazil.
